The mountain bike trails at Hickory Ridge are ranked second best in the state of Wisconsin behind Rock Lake. I’ve only been mountain biking in Wisconsin for a couple years now but I think these trails are probably the best. This day may have been a bit too late in the year to see how special these trails actually are. The leaves had mostly fallen but not yet cleared from the trails.
The fall conditions may have hidden the trail under a dense layer of leaves but I still had a great ride. It was a beautiful October day and I had the trails to myself and a couple deers. The drive from the Twin Cities is well worth your time to be able to ride such a fun trail system.
