Bertram Chain of Lakes singletrack has been going through some changes lately. The folks there are digging new singletrack and creating new features on the trails. I needed to see what all the fuss was for myself so I took the opportunity to ride up there Labor day weekend.
Sadly the rain came faster than expected and I was only able to get one lap on the trails. What I did ride was pretty cool. The new wood work was very cool to see, if not a bit intimidating. The new trail looked to be hand cut and still a bit soft.
I think the trail is still very much a work in progress. There was a lot of new stuff open but I couldn’t figure out how to get to the west most section of trail. Still I saw a lot of improvement in what I would consider one of the more lackluster trails in town.
