Wolf Tooth ReMote Install

Watch on YouTube

As I mentioned in the Fox Transfer post review, the levers Fox offers aren’t that great and I broke mine last season.  Today I am installing the Wolftooth ReMote dropper post lever onto my Santa Cruz mountain bike.  I purchased a Wolftooth Remote and a new 1.2mm derailleur cable.  As part of the install we will be replacing the the inner cable and leaving the external cable housing.

I chose the Wolftooth ReMote lever because of the large rough contact area and the smooth action from using a ball bearing pivot.  The lever also has the ability to be repositioned after being attached to the handlebar.

On this install I used a Park Tool allen wrench and cable cutter. Installing the lever is pretty easy task that just requires removing the existing lever and cable then putting on the new lever and running the new cable to the dropper post.  Normally I would also add chain lube to the cable but this one came greased.
