There are so many great mountain bike destinations, it’s hard not to get excited for the new riding season. I’ve been planning my riding season trips for almost two months now and can’t wait to get the season started.
Levis Mounds is a fun singletrack adventure trail in the heart of the northwoods of Wisconsin. This former IBMA epic has a little bit of everything and is easily a full day of riding.
Cuyuna Lakes is the raising start of the Minnesota mountain biking scene. This rags to riches story is linked to the towns that almost collapsed when mining abandoned them. From those abandoned mine pits came the rocky terrain and red dirt that makes Cuyuna an amazing destination.
Duluth is a Gold level IMBA trail center and I’ve never ridden there. That will be corrected this season.
I’ll be riding with B1ker and this chipmunks in Downieville this June. The trip will be a blast for sure. It will be my biggest trip this season.
Heading back to Cable, WI to ride the CAMBA trails is a must for any mountain biker in the upper midwest. I’ll be getting a second shot at Rock Lake, an IMBA epic ride, and exploring the other local trails.
