Cuyuna Mountain Biking - Reduc Fall 2017

After the iron ore mining companies abandoned their open pit mines in the central Minnesota towns of Ironton and Crosby, the land was returned to the state for recreational use.  Over the past ten years the people there have build what is arguably the best flow trains in the state.

This video is a redux of sorts because this footage was originally recorded in October of 2017 and uploaded in two different YouTube videos later that year.  I was not exactly excited about the reception these videos got and decided to re-edit them into one video cutting out the climbs and the majority of my commentary.

I'm not sure how well this video will do but it was a good lesson on editing and trying a few new features.  Since the original videos were release,   I've purchased new compression software which really has made my uploads to YouTube much smaller.  I have also been tweaking the settings to produce a high resolution video in YouTube.

From an editing standpoint, I have decide to work music into more of my videos.  This has been interesting to find music I enjoy and can include in my videos without copy right infringement.  Thankfully I've found some good audio I enjoy.  Hopefully my viewers will too.

The last big change I've made is to try to color correct my videos.  I used to just simply apply a default color correction and call it good.  I've since started to watch a few videos on suggestions of how to color correct and have applied them to this video.  I think its a bit early to say if its made a difference.

Well, I hope you found this blog interesting and I hope you enjoyed the video.  Cuyuna is a wonderful place to go ride a bike.
