Hero Snow Day

After watching all several videos recently about winter biking, I decided to give winter biking another try. The last time I tried riding in the winter, the trail was an icy mess that was just an unrideable without studded wheels.

On this ride I found something I thought was only a myth. On this day I found white velcro, hero snow that provided incredible grip. I didn’t even know just a thing was possible in snow. The trails at Theodore Wirth were riding great.

 The day was sunny and in the high 20s. It turns out this is the perfect combination for hero snow. We have been pretty cold lately and I was a little concerned about how to layer up for this ride. I wore a base layer top and pants, snow pants, a fleece and a soft shell jacket. On a day like today I was a bit too warm.

 My Tasco Gloves did an amazing job on the ride. The Dawn Patrol gloves are windproof and water resistant with a fleece liner. These are really great cold weather riding gloves.
